Hello and welcome to my Blog!  My name is Michelle Rasmussen and I am a portrait photographer located in Tucson, Arizona.  I work with my business partner, David Harvey, and together we make up Rasmussen-Harvey Photography.  We have a small studio in Northwest Tucson and we also love to have sessions on location, either at your home or around town. Happy Birthday x2 { Tucson Maternity & Child Photographer }

Today is my BFF's birthday...and a few weeks ago she welcomed little "H" who I have yet to meet in person as of yet because they live all the way in Portland, but I was lucky enough to be able to FORCE her into a maternity session when they were here visiting this past July.  ;)  Wow, time sure does FLY when you are having fun!  So, here is a little sneak peek of my favorites from their session as a birthday present for both Mamma and Baby "H"! 

Laughter is almost ALWAYS the best photograph. (TM Wondertime Photography!) LOL.

And of course Big Brother "B" and Monkey were totally part of the session!  "B" and Kai were born just a few weeks apart, so it was pretty special that we got to go through our first pregnancies together back in 2004-2005!  Monkey is also going to be 5 years old this December as well, can you tell?  :)

And last but not least...my original idea was to have Mamma lounging in the pool for her maternity session, but the location just didn't pan out, so we did what we always do at Wondertime Photography - we go FREESTYLE Baby and get creative on the spot!  So, thanks to Mamma for being up for anything and rockin' out the pregger-belly-shots-in-the-bikini-in-the-baby-pool!

I am so grateful to have such amazing clients and friends with SO much talent.  My dear friend and my very first newborn client a little over 5 years ago has the MOST beautiful home...and I am honored that she has incorporated Wondertime Photography's art into their home.  You absolutely MUST check out her blog HERE to see how incredibly talented she is.  Here are some images from her studio session that are custom designed 3 square (28x28in each) fine art Gallery Wrap Canvases displayed in her home.  Here are a few more with the boys too!  Thanks again H Family - LOVE you guys!  ~M

Sneak Peek {Tucson Children Photographer}

Hello to my most wonderful friends, family and clients!  I've been MIA for awhile due to some medical issues, but not too worry, I am on the mend and so grateful to my most wonderful support system!  I can't wait to officially introduce you to the Wondertime Photography Team in the near future and share lots of exciting new things we are going to be offering in 2010 (can you believe that by the way - it's so "the future" for all of my fellow babies of the 80's!  But back to my original intent of this post!

I am so excited to share a sneak peek of one of my lovely clients, Miss "M" and her super adorable and sweet family!  I am REALLY looking forward to meeting with you guys as soon as possible for your presentation appointment, but until then, here are a few of your adorable daughter!  Enjoy! ~M

How beautiful is soon to be MAMMA ~ Ms. C?!?  Her personality and inner beauty totally matches too!  What an amazing maternity session we had in the studio with her & her hubby and the soon to be DADDY of TWINS!  I was so excited to be able to capture this with them and I cannot wait to meet the babies!!!  Here is a quick sneak peek - there will be many more on the website gallery in the future, that's for sure!  ~M

Smoochies {Tucson Baby Photographer}

Oh, how I love when my own little boys give me a kiss!  Sometimes it's on the cheek, sometimes it's randomly placed on my arm...sometimes it's the frantically-kiss-your-own-hand-and-blow-kisses-as-fast-you-can - AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!  Heehee.

Or sometimes, it's that perfect little moment, when your 1-year old does exactly what is asked of her...PARENTS!  How cute it little A?!?  Oh goodness, I really LOVE this image!  Thanks so much M family!  :)  ~M

Laughter is the BEST Photograph { Tucson Newborn Photographer }

 

I can remember exactly the moment when this photograph was created...Addy's mamma and I were up in her beautiful PINK and oh-so GIRLY room...Addy was being so perfect and sleepy and squishy and an especially cooperative 9 day old (the perfect age for newborn photos!)...it was so quiet and peaceful but we could hear big brother Britten playing downstairs with Nanna and his Pappa...and then she SMILED...no, she LAUGHED, the biggest newborn baby LAUGH and seriously...mom and I both gasped as I clicked the shutter.  Oh my, the pure excitement and then the magic of seeing this!  I definitely think that LAUGHTER is the BEST Photograph - no matter what your age! Thank you so much Brooke, Alex, Britten and Nanna for such a wonderful session...I am so grateful to be able to get to know your family and capture your story.  :)

The Birth of Baby Nash ~ 2 Years Later { Tucson Portrait Photographer }

I love to photograph newborns...it's like time stops and all that matters is the tiny, brand new little person...I remember that is how it felt having my own boys...I remember coming home from the hospital and it was strange to realize that the world had continued on while we were there...didn't they realize what had just happened?!?  :)  So when the opportunity came up for me to photograph this truely amazing event that is so incredibly tricky for me to even put into words, I was more than excited and honored.  And now, exactly 2 years later, on Nash's birthday...I again find myself in awe.

Mo Mo's Autograph {Tucson Children's Photographer}

Everyone, meet Mo Mo -- Mo mo, meet Everyone!  Mo mo and Zachary are the very best of friends and do EVERYTHING together and I was very excited to include Mo Mo in our photography session with the C Family.  Even though Mo Mo didn't get to be in the family image on the cute green loveseat, he was totally helping me with the shot and I had promised him his very own portrait afterwards.  Mom and I decided Mo Mo was going to get Zachary an autographed print for his bedroom, but shhhhhh it's a surprise still.  Who knew it would all end up being about a monkey named Mo Mo?  If you have kids of your own, I'm sure this is not shocking whatsoever!  I'll definitely be sharing some more cute images of the kids soon...can't let a cute lil monkey steal the show, right?  :)  So much fun tho!  ~Michelle
